I am pleased to announce an exciting development arising from a conversation initiated by my esteemed colleague, Susan Fogel of Susan Hope Fogel Fine Art.
Susan approached me regarding the Upstate Arts Weekend, which is an annual event that seeks to showcase art across New York State. In keeping with the name we established years ago, “The Warwick Guild,” Susan and I have submitted our application to be part of the Upstate Art Weekend on July 17, 18, 19 from 11AM-5PM at the Warwick Valley Community Center.
This event is significant; it involves a comprehensive marketing campaign, including maps and self-guided tours of various art locations throughout the region. Regardless of the outcome of our application, Susan and I have decided to host our own show and sale. This event will differ substantially from our December craft show. We will have the opportunity to exhibit our work alongside several painters who have been invited by Susan to participate.
We look forward to this expansion of our studio’s initiatives and to witnessing the exceptional talent present at Warwick Pottery. The response from fellow pottery professionals and our local community during our last show was overwhelmingly positive, and we have much to be proud of collectively.
