Spring Cleaning Notice
Spring has sprung! This means we’ll be busy bees at Warwick Pottery, getting the studio ready for the summer rush. Please see below for some friendly housekeeping reminders.
BISQUE PICKUP
Please pick up your bisque pieces from the kiln room on a regular basis! Bisqueware that has not been picked up within one month of its firing date may be discarded or used as test tiles (and we hate to see that happen!).
SIGN YOUR WORK
Please sign the bottoms of your pots! We have noticed an increase in bone-dry pots with no names being left on the greenware shelves. If unidentifiable bone-dry pieces are left on the greenware shelves for too long, they will be discarded.
PUT YOUR WORK AWAY APPROPRIATELY
Please make sure you are putting away your work on the greenware shelves labelled for your class. If there is no room, we have overflow space available in the closet down the hall!
New Clay Storage – Hefty Bags to the Rescue!
We have new Hefty bags to seal your clay bag in and keep the clay neatly contained. Please label your bags!
One bag will be provided to each student. If loose clay bags are found outside of the Hefty bag, they will be discarded. We need to keep our clay storage bins clean and organized to avoid having them become a trip or occupational hazard for our members and staff.
Mediterranean Mist – Discontinued in Studio
Starting April 1, Mediterranean Mist has been removed from the available dipping glazes. The glaze is too runny, and our poor kiln shelves can’t take it!
Tuesday Night & Sunday Classes – Teacher Switch Up!
Starting April 1, Rachel will begin teaching the Sunday Morning class, and Marilyn will be teaching the Tuesday Night class. We thank you for your patience during the transition period!
No Open Studio Time on the Last Sunday of Each Month
Please note that starting in May, there will be no open studio time on the last Sunday of each month. There is a notice posted on the Open Studio page on our website. Please keep track of the calendar!
Our Open Studio Sign-up Page has been updated to reflect the change. Thank you for your understanding!
